WelcomeWelcome to Living4TheSun. We are Ashley and Lainie and we want to share our experiences of our relocation to Greece. On 3rd November 2003 we went to live in Stoupa on the Greek mainland, at first in temporary accommodation, then in the summer of 2004 we finally moved into our own home. We live close to the village of Riglia in the area known as the Mani. The Mani forms part of the southern Greek mainland that is the Peloponnese. The area, like most of Greece is full of history, most notably, just outside Stoupa the area of Kalogria is famous for being the setting where the real life activities of Nikos Kazantakis formed the basis of his book Zorba the Greek. Now the local villages of Stoupa, Lefktro, Kardamyli, Agios Nikolaos provide superb holiday settings. Initially we set up this site to keep our family and friends in England up to date with the progress while building our house. We now understand that we have many more people looking at our site. Welcome to everyone, and hope you find something interesting here. If you have any questions about moving and living in Greece please email us, we don't pretend to offer 'advice'.
